Abowth is my Melodic Black Metal Project. The idea came from the place where I grew up, a small, isolated town in the center of a valley. This new town I created is populated by residents who experience difficult situations and make thought-provoking choices. What we think we’re doing for the better can sometimes end badly, and it’s often too late that we realize it.
I hope my music will transport you to this small town with its mysterious and calm atmosphere, which fascinates as much as it frightens. The themes of death, growth, and the duality of individuals will be explored throughout the albums through its narratives.
All the music is composed, written, played, recorded and mixed by me directly from my home in Quebec City.
Drowning souls
A return to Abowth, a vague memory, a past to unravel. Every night the sound of the train is heard, a hypnotic sound capable of transporting people out of their bodies if they are receptive enough. The train always passed at the same time, taking some of the inhabitants with it. One of them could easily get carried away and return to his senses after wandering through the village in a world between sleep and wakefulness. His curiosity drove him to explore further and further, and he sometimes managed to experience events from the past, present, or future of other people he met during his out-of-body expeditions. Within himself, he could feel something nefarious following and obsessing him during each outing. Something dark attracted him, a shadow of the past invaded by the desire to torment the present, forcing him to serve it.
